To answer the one I know:

You have to partition your harddrive to use
BSD disklabels. Then, performing the "normal"
partition, start the first partition at sector 10 to
leave space for the boot image.
After installation, write the boot image to your
harddrive, hda, and then edit /etc/aboot.conf
to tell aboot what kernel to boot and what 
partition to mount as / e.g.
