PWS 500a PPP / network setup
I have installed Debian 2.1 on a 500a (miata). I have an external modem
that dials into my ISP and connects via wvdial. In /var/log/messages I
see that I have established an IP address with my ISP.
When I try to use lynx, ping or any other application, it appears to be
working but does not. i.e... no immediate errors.
Here are files I have edited:
/etc/resolv.conf
search hawaii

/etc/hosts
127.001 localhost
206.103.240.1 infinet.com
206.103.240.2 infinet.com
/etc/hosts.deny
ALL: PARANOID
/etc/hosts.allow
ALL: 127.0.0.1
permissions on /dev/ttyS0
crw-r-----
I have no clue what I have left out this time. This worked on my
Cabriolet. Suggestions?
