broken nis via apt-get

I just upgraded my alpha-box using apg-get. I also have
security.debian.org in my sources.list. This resulted in a security-fix
for nis being downloaded which was broken for me (domainname
segfaulting).

I found some articles about this in the lists archieves and I wonder
what is the best thing to do. _I_ went back to my old slink nis.

If nis is broken on security.debian.org, why wasnt it removed? Better
insecure than not working at all, eh?
