ipfwadm: setsockopt failed: Invalid argument
ipfwadm is currently useless for anything besides setting the default
policy. This led me to some confusion when I recently installed my
udb from scratch; the default net stuff sets de default policy to deny,
and then adds the configured nets explictly (which fails). This results
in not being able to connect to / from the machine, which resulted in
a lot of hardware checking ("that cable _used_ to be OK!") before I
hit on checking ipfwadm...
I found a ref in dejanews on how to fix this. netinet/ip_fw.h apparently
defines byte and packet counters as 32-bit values, while they are 64-bit
on Alpha (probably a glibc bug? I mean the header file, not the size
itself). Anyway, has anyone else tried to fix this yet, and failed,
before I try it?
