Yeah, that's what I thought might happen.  There's ALOT of patching to be
done.  The DEC Unix version was compiled as a 32-bit target (forced cc
down with a switch to cc), so that's why it works and ours doesn't.  I
seem to recall either an egcs or binutils switch to do the same, so I'm
investigating that.  I'll post another announcement when/if I come up with
anything else to test :-)
