My machine would be a bad choice for the recompilations since it's fscking
slow, but I can contribute kernel-patch-2.0.34-alpha.deb that include Jay
Estabrook's alpha patches for 2.0.34, and integrates nicely with
kernel-package > 5.0.

Just install this package, put 'patch_the_kernel := yes' in
/etc/kernel-pkg.conf and it'll automatically patch the kernels from
kernel-sources. Oh, and look for the bug I filed on kernel-package to fix
one small glitch. It's got a patch.

We still need to get this MILO issue worked out---even to just have it
understand symlinks, IMHO---since without that we'll have to really ravage
kernel-package to make it "work". Has anyone had a chance to make any
progress on this?

Mike.
