broken xterm and (?) xdm

Hi !

I managed to compile the xfree package ! 
xterm and xdm seem to work now. I will try to upload the xbase package to
beezer incoming. 


.. Btw 
start-stop-daemon --stop --quiet --signal 0 --exec ....
returns:
start-stop-daemon: --signal takes a numeric argument
Try `start-stop-daemon --help' for more information.

Do I have to update a package, or something else ..
