Good point and a great idea.  I have the same problem and, short of
trying to remove every package to see if it's depended on, it can be a
pain to find out if a package is really needed.  Of course, this kind of a
field should probably only be allowed on libs or devel packages....

Just a weird parallel-universe thought but, doesn't Windows suffer from a
similar problem with shared libs that are just hanging around taking up
space when they're not needed????  Geez, kinda makes you wanna hide,
doesn't it :P  This kind of a field would go a long way towards
eliminating the same type of problems experienced under that OS.
