Actually, we've all just been quiet. There has been some correspondence
in private e-mail, but it's mostly coordination stuff between myself and a
couple other people (to prevent duplication of effort).

On the good side, on my site in the "to_master" directory, I've placed
some new versions of things (ncurses3.4 is a biggie) to play with.
*WARNING* if you play with ncurses3.4, be sure NOT to remove the
ncurses3.0 libraries since almost all of the current software on master
that relies on ncurses relies on 3.0 and doesn't work with 3.4 until we
recompile the apps.

Also, there's a new version of man-db that's *ALMOST* perfect. It still
complains with unaligned trap warnings upon updating the index (which
still isn't working for some reason, btw), but it DOES manage to store
preformatted pages now :) I'm working on the other problems and should
have them resolved soon.

I have also FINALLY solved the modules problem and have them working very
well, at least under kernel 2.1.57 (I'll test 2.0.30 in a few minutes).
I'm putting up the new modutils package also in to_master on beezer, so
feel free to play with that. Believe me, it took alot of headache time to
chase down all of the stupid stuff that needed to be done to make modutils
to compile correctly (it's all done with smoke and mirrors...really!), but
it works now and I'm happy for that.

I'm also slowly wiping beezer's archives down since almost everything is
on master now. I'm going to try to keep only the bleeding-edge stuff
there and get everything to master ASAP. All new stuff that's ready for
master is now going in the to_master directory. I've also created a
rejected_or_incomplete directory where incomplete packages or packages
which need more information are going to.

Can't think of anything else for now. Happy Alpha-ing :)

Chris
