Bug#1114896: xgboost: flaky autopkgtest on amd64: sometimes quick, sometimes times out

Thank you for raising this to attention. I tried autopkgtest on some of
my machines, and they all finished really fast (~1min), including:

- Intel Core i9 14900K
- Intel Xeon E5-2680v4
- Intel Xeon Platinum 8358
- AMD EPYC 7742 / 7763

I’m not quite sure why it would be ridiculously slow on debci machines.
Is it possible there are major ISA differences (e.g. AVX disabled), or
something like cpu / memory over-subscription?
