Forgot to say: debci has this useful feature where in Self-Service (UI),
one can schedule tests mixing-and-matching arbitrary packages from
various releases.

This is especially useful with experimental as by default, upon uploads
we only pin a single package (the one just uploaded to it). Or one can
pre-test what would happen if a package were to migrate.

To achieve that, one needs to
  (1) select which additional releases in the "Extra APT Sources" box
(these will be added to sources.list in the testbed)
  (2) then specify where packages come from in the "Pin Packages" box.

Note that pinning can't guarantee a particular version. If a
package-to-be-tested has a Depends: on something newer, it will get that
newer.

But this works nicely in general.

Best,
Christian
