Howdy y'all,
I've prepared a package for hipfft. It was mostly straightforward, with one exception. The upstream hipFFT repository includes rocFFT as a submodule in order to reuse some of the sources for the test and benchmark clients. I wasn't sure how to handle that, so I did not build the hipfft tests.
However, the library and the documentation are complete. The
missing tests are unfortunate, although I'm not sure the loss of
the test coverage is that significant given that hipfft is merely
a thin wrapper over rocfft (which has a full test suite).
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "hipfft": * Package name : hipfft Version : 5.5.1-1 * URL : https://github.com/rocmsoftwareplatform/hipfft * License : Expat * Vcs : https://salsa.debian.org/rocm-team/hipfft Section : devel The source builds the following binary packages: libhipfft0 - portable interface for Fast Fourier Transforms on the GPU - library libhipfft-dev - portable interface for Fast Fourier Transforms on the GPU - headers libhipfft-doc - portable interface for Fast Fourier Transforms on the GPU - documentation To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: https://mentors.debian.net/package/hipfft/ Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command: dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/h/hipfft/hipfft_5.5.1-1.dsc Changes for the initial release: hipfft (5.5.1-1) experimental; urgency=medium . * Initial release.
