Awesome! I built rocRAND 5.2.0 using the hipamd package and documented 
the steps I followed in this gist [1]. No patches required! Just a few 
environment variables. That's a huge step forward for ROCm packaging!

A few of the dependencies that are explicitly being installed in that 
script should probably be implied by other packages (e.g., I think hipcc 
may call file), but the package works!
