This used to be called IMSP but was abandoned in favor of
LDAP by anyone other than Carnegie Melon, so they (at the
request of the IETF) broadened the scope of the project,
altered its focus, and are trying to find a way to make it
useful. Its years away from that now though. Too bad. The
PINE team was so keen on bindling IMSP functionality into
their mail client that they ignored the evolving DAP
standards and are now playing catch up.
