Hi, Using the DVD 1 with the non-free firmware gives me the
message that the following firmware is not found
iwlwifi-6000g2b-6.ucode and iwlwifi-6000g2b-5.ucode and I have
successfully installed on this system before in the past with the
non-free firmware with no problems. This system is a bios based
system booting from the internal DVD burner. I downloaded this
image
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/11.0.0+nonfree/amd64/iso-dvd/firmware-11.0.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso
so if the firmware existed in earlier images why not this one?

You forgot that important point!
Okay, I'll run the installer and issue the commands while the installer starts to run.
I'm guessing at any time after the boot screen for the installer, if not tell me at which point it can respond to those commands and I'll save the output to another keystick.
I'm starting to appreciate the meaning of "labor of love" that you do, Samuel.
Best wishes,
David

I already know all of this, it's all in the archives of the mailing
list.
What I'm asking you is to run the same set of commands, inside the
installer, on the second console for instance. You can for instance
write the output on a mounted keystick.
