Hi, libasound2 seems to cause trouble in conjunction with brltty-espeak. Shortly after BRLTTY startup, the synthesizer is quiet and only a restart bring speech back for roughly 1-2 minutes. It works fine with speech-dispatcher though. After downgrading libasound2 (1.1.2, testing) to the version from stable, every works nicely again. I don't know what a solution might be and how it is best to tackle this issue, I just wanted to raise this issue here as well, since it does severely affect BRLTTY's speech users, at least those using brltty-espeak.
