Re: Issues with the current Netinst Installer

Hello there, since my last email, I have done some testing. And, as far as the current snapshot is installed, I can indeed verify that the system actually does get installed. However, I think what we are facing this is an audio issue. However, I have no way to actually verify this. I can tell the system is installed, because I can actually login to the installed virtual machine. However, of course, there is no speech. What I don't know is if the audio driver is actually getting loaded. If memory serves, I believe VMware workstation does implement and AC 97 sound card.
One thing to note however is that during The insulation, the audio of speak up is very low. Not that it cannot be heard, but it is indeed low. So now, we can out rule the possibility of a conflict between a graphical desktop environment, since in fact there is no one installed here. Just a side thought, if I were to actually upgrade to workstation 11, I wonder if this might actually solve the problem? I'm not sure. Just something that I thought about. What I can tell you though is that systems prior to Jesse did not have any problem loading speak up at all. Some point, I will definitely test with virtual box.

Thanks,
Erik
