Hi,I could do some full test and producing a full document to enumerate improvements prospectives in GNOME. In my opinion, and from my experience, the main problems "series" 9ould be: - there are not enough themes related to accessibility, such as contrast, or other kinds of graphical laxout; so people with low vision often cannot see gnome properly, in good conditions. - even with themes, the fact the user is unable to customize the size, font, colour of each widget is a problem. Thus, it is mportant the user can customize his theme manually (colour of text box, of windows edge, etc). - the magnifier starts being better, but some improvements are needed in zoom and focus follow - Finally, with Orca, I am confused in the interface. Menus are replaced with bars, and moving between these bars isn't really easy. alt-ctrl-tab works, but without structured menu, it becomes difficult to know jhere are things. Yes, we can search, but user can want to browse his computer to know programs he has, and some user don't know keywords, etc.
I don't know how such problems can be handled. Because they match to philosophical choices, wehre although a11y tools are improved, the interface is not friendly when a user cannot use the mouse or needs specific display condition.
Someday I'll do a detailed test on Jessie to see the gnome problems in details.
