Would you be interested to maintain this package under the umbrella of the debian-accessibility team [1]? You can still be the principle maintainer, but there are eyes to help fix bugs and you get a nice Vcs for free ;). And of course, caring sponsors.
No need for sponsor as far as I am concerned, but I have nothing against that idea, just do not expect me to really participate in the team, I am already a bit overwhelmed with the mailing lists I already follow.
