Bug#697350: ebook-speaker: Does not work with mbrola voice files
Package: ebook-speaker
Version: 2.0-2+b1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
ebook-speaker does not work with mbrola voice files.
* install ebook-speaker and e. g. mbrola-de4
* check if it is working with espeak:
echo "Dies ist ein Test" | espeak -v mb-de4
* call ebook-speaker:
* ebook-speaker -l mb-de4 some.epub
* or set language=mb-de4 in ~/.eBook-speaker.rc and call
ebook-speaker some.epub
Expected:
* The epub is read with the mbrola voice
Actual:
* The text of the book is shown and the reading pointers move
* No sound
* with set language=mb-de4: after reading the parameter is changed to
language=mb-de (4 is missing!)
This seeems to be a problem when copying the language parameter to
dc_language in eBook-speaker.c. Proposal patch in next bug post!
