Bug#642055: daisy-player: reports "corrupt daisy structure" and aborts while reading valid book

this is the first book that I tried, so I'm not sure how general the problem
is.

Daisy-player parses the book, presents the table of contents, followed by
"reading closing announcement", then aborts with the "corrupt daisy structure"
error message.

There are no debugging options documented in the manual page. the book is
subject to copyright and therefore cannot be disclosed in any form.
