Orca errors on most recent stable release

I tried a command like this
gnome-terminal

orca --setup 2>test.txt

My 'brltty' does work.
If I try
orca --setup
I get a message, but it eventually seems to freeze.
'Starting Orca preferences.  This may take some time'
Any ideas?
