I just gave live-helper a whirl and found that there is already some
accessibility support (in live-initramfs):
/usr/share/initramfs/scripts/live-bottom/30accessibility
This file implements the following:
* Enabling the accessibility GNOME gconf key if necessary.
* Preconfiguring .orca with a few settings.
However, this script seems like it was either never really finished
or fell victim to some bitrod: The case statement checks for
values that are never present. The prefix (access=) needs to
be removed since its already being removed in the "live" initramfs script.
The "braille=ask" case seems ad hoc and doesnt make sense to me.
In general, the approach seems sound, we just need to define
a few more "levels". I.e., currently there is no
access level for braille and speech enabled AFAICS.
