To find code that's compiled if a tristate symbol is "m":
git grep "\<CONFIG_[^ ]*_MODULE\>"
This is not necessariy code in vmlinux; it can be code in another module.
And in Makefile logic:
git grep "\<CONFIG_[^ ]*\>.*\m=y" -- "*Makefile"

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But
when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
