Going crazy... "No common CD-ROM drive was detected"
Hi!
After solving a problem, a new one is here!
The installer loads well from the initrd, however when it detects
hardware looking for CD-ROM drives, it says that it can't find a CD-ROM
unit! In fact in /dev there is no "cdrom" entry, even if the units show
well during SCSI bus scan. I have a TEAC 12/10/32 SCSI burner and also
connected a Plextor 12x SCSI reader and none of them is recognized.
The installer asks me if I want to load a driver from floppy but I think
it shouldn't be necessary.
