An excellent question. Presumably that kernel does not like the Q700. The
problem is that there isn't much kernel development going on for 68k mac
hardware (and none for 2.2 kernels that I know of). Those who might be
able to reproduce the fault and debug it are likely more interested in
debugging the 2.6 kernel, since etch will require a current kernel.
