The only thing it could affect is Penguin. All mode32 does is patch
the MacOS to properly support 32 bit addressing. Several of the early
68020 and 68030 boxes shipped with ROM code that wasn't 32 bit clean,
and Apple never bothered to fix it properly. They just disabled the
ability to switch to full 32 bit mode on them. Without mode32, your
box is strictly limited on RAM (8M), which could affect how large of
a kernel and ramdisk fit into available space. I thought Penguin used
to require 32 bit mode, but maybe that got changed.
