I'm installing woody on a Mac se/30.  It has got through to installing basedebs.tar but that has now been running for about 18 hours.  It did get through to "installing base packages".

My question is - do I just let it run and it will get there, or has it crashed?

The SE/30 has 8mb ram and loads of h/d space (like 32MB swap and 4-500 mb linux partition).

the 8MB ram would be the problem there.

A few months ago a friend started installing Woody on an 8MB Mac IIci (also a 68030). It was a good 4 days (maybe 5) before the install finished. Swapping with that amount of memory was -harsh-.

However, with a quick upgrade to 20MB it was quite usable afterwards.
