Perhaps the problem is specific to the Mac. I now have 4 woody Macs
that behave the same. Potato was installed on 2 of them and the
Ctrl-Apple-Fx key combination worked just fine.
I've tried both Ctrl-Alt-Fx and Ctrl-Apple-Fx under woody and X must be
blocking those key combinations. Ctrl-Apple-Fx is works just fine when
X is not active.
