Re-installing errors

Hello all,

I am trying to re-install Linux on an external SCSI drive. I have an Atari clone,
the Hades 060. I keep getting one of three errors: 1) Segmentation error 2)
Kernal Panic: free list empty and 3) Kernal Panic: free list corrupted.

I am installing it just like I did 1 year ago. The only thing I have changed is that
I installed a newer TOS (operating system for an Atari). I partitioned the hard
drive using an Atari utility and also using fdisk and Atari-fdisk in the Linux
installation process. Both give me the same result.

Anyone have an idea?
