That is almost correct (an "real" 68040 does not have an FPU either, it's
only got a MMU).

I have experienced the same symptoms on a Centris 610 -- yes, with LC040.
The system works for the most part, but when it comes to dealing with
floating point operations, things fail.
Never mind that ;-)
