Last night I tried the version of 2.2.18 that Nick Holgate put up (see http://people.debian.org/~holgate/kernel-2.2.18). The kernel works great; after rebooting to 2.2.18 I can install any of the testing packages right off the master, including the new libc. Give it a try. -- Mike Shuey
