Hmm, maybe temporary storage? I mean, you need space to download plus space
to unpack, only then you can delete the downloads, AFAIK you are only asked
if you want to download them after everything is installed. I did run into
problems, when I did not have enough space in /var, the trick I told you
yesterday helped there.

If you read the quickinstall, which you worked on heavily, you should note,
that after this step, ie installing pacakges, root is logged out and you can
log in as root or user, right?
I usually recommend _not_ to install anything additional during this step.
You will get a few MBs installed anyway and you can use both install methods
later with no problem (in contrast to slink, were I was not able to select
the "profiles" after this phase anymore, but maybe I missed something).
Just install only a few debs at a time, when youre low on space. On slow
machines, you do not have to wait such a long time for every install, but
you will not have all packages installed at once.
