I'd be interested in knowing if this patch will work for other m68k
archs, as I built it from mac68k CVS and the 2.2.17 patch file.  I am
planning on keeping the Mac68k kernel up to date with the mainstream
kernel.  I already have a preliminary 2.2.18, so when Alan Cox blesses
2.2.18 I should have Mac68k CVS updated within a few days.
