MySQL on m68k Debian?

I've been trying to get MySQL installed on my m68k Linux box.  When 
using dselect, I get a message that the version of the MySQL server 
and client conflict and I can't go forward. I've tried compiling the 
source and get an error when running "debian/rules build":

dh_testdir
make: dh_testdir: Command not found
make: *** [build] Error 127

Anyone successfully installed MySQL on a m68k debian machine?  Thanks 
for any suggestions.
