I made a mistake the actual kernel used by the boot floppies seems to be
a 2.2.10 reported as follows:

Linux version 2.2.10 (schmitz@zirkon.biophys.uni-duesseldorf.de) (gcc
version 2.7.2.3) #13 Sat Feb 5 15:56:35 CET 2000

I can also confirm that this works on a Quadra 950, but you must include
the kernel option in the Penguin to turn off the second SCSI bus.
