Thanks. I have now changed into a 2.2 kernel and init starts nicely. The system hovever locks after starting portmapper and inetd. It just loads a lot of data over the network and doesn't seam to get anywhere. Can this be because of lack om free memory. Is 4 Mb of memory enough or do I have to enable network swaping. Which is fastest/most stable: swapping over nfs or network block device?
