Debian on a Quadra 660AV

I am trying to install Debian 2.1 on a Quadra 660AV.
I've already installed the kernel (not X!) on a Quadra 700, and it
worked fine.
On this new machine, after I double-clicked on the "Penguin Prefs" icon
in the "debian" directory a white screen with black text comes out,
displaying kernel debugging information, and before the installation
program starts il stalls.
This are the last lines it prints:

Configuring keyboard
leds on ...
Configuring coding mode ...
keyboard init done
M68K serial driver version 1.01
Mac68K Z8530 serial driver version 1.01
ttyS0 at 0x50f04002: Machintosh SCC
ttyS1 at 0x50f04000: Machintosh SCC

What does it mean?
Quadra 660 AV is in the list of the supported Macs.
Thanks

Chiara
