Done that, I upgraded my slink partition (we dont need to build any slink
security updates anymore, do we?) straight to potato/glibc2.1...
dselect/apt-get came up with these errors:
E: Line 0 in package file /var/state/apt/lists/debian_dists_unstable_main_binary-m68k_Packages is too long.(3)
E: Line 1 in package file /var/state/apt/lists/debian_dists_unstable_main_binary-m68k_Packages is too long.(1)
No problem, I installed with dpkg -iGROEB from the potato mirror and the
glibc2.1 test archive. Some dependency problems, but I have to look into
that as time permits.
After that I run dselect over it again (there was a new apt?). The too long
error came back, apt-get update fixed(?) it, but then:
Err file:/debian/ unstable/main Packages Invalid URI, local URIS must not start with //
Ign file:/debian/ unstable/main Release
Err file:/debian/ unstable/contrib Packages Invalid URI, local URIS must not start with //
Ign file:/debian/ unstable/contrib Release
Err file:/debian/ unstable/non-free Packages Invalid URI, local URIS must not start with //
Ign file:/debian/ unstable/non-free Release
allthough my sources.list did NOT change, ie:
deb file:/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb file:/debian unstable/non-US main contrib non-free
deb file:/debian project/experimental/
I have no idea where apt sees a double slash, its only in the comment
lines...
Maybe I will try more tonight, maybe I can even set up a build system for
xfree...
Ciao,
Christian.
