Did you include a XF86Config file for the fb_dev? The release on my
mirror from saturday (ftp.de.debian.org) didn't have any. Also it
breaks when not updating, because /etc/X11/Xserver.old won't be there
and then the /etc/X11/Xserver file will be left empty.
