FWIW, I use RTSP (which that camera supports) for my home security
camera system and I've found it really reliable and easy to work with.
Also simplifies the setup quite a lot. I think the extra 150g might be
worth not having to ship the extra kg's of other equipment if the setup
is adapted for that.

I just think having a nice network camera outweighs the benefits of the
above by quite a bit. I remember mentioning RTSP cameras to Stefano back
in Germany and he mentioned a good reason why DebConf was not using them
at the time but can't remember if it was a technical, infrastructure or
policy reason.
