Hi, in November 2011 the DebConf / Debian videoteam held a sprint in Paris, kindly hosted in the offices of irill.org http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/Videoteam/Sprint2011 The meeting was "only" attended by six people, but IMO it was still a success as we managed to get quiet a lot done. The rough and unedited notes: Things done ----------- - contacted Stephen Marron who wanted to write a p2card driver for linux 3.0 - send notes about dvswitch UI discussion with Carl to frankp who is working on improving the UI - contacted headset guys from the UK (who are building a autonomous headset solution for gaming use, which we can also use for inter communication) - put cables in ziplock backs, remove spurious labels, put up new ones - took pictures of all our gear - updated http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/Videoteam/HardwareInventory - wrote a paragraph for http://wiki.debconf.org/action/edit/DebConf11/FinalReport - set up streaming for IRILL - hacked on dvswitch - discussed informal meeting with froscon + ccc videoteams, who are also using dvswitch - hacked on adding prerolls for the dc11 videos - had several discussions - had fun :) - and "of course", we also added new items to our todo-list :-) I'd like to use this opportunity to shout a big thanks to IRILL for their support, for hosting us in November, for providing storage for our hardware and for lending us their hardware! IOW: you rock & and your contributions enable us to document Debian & free software development (meetings) a lot better. And then I want to thank everybody who donated to Debian - even though this meeting used little monetary resources, over the last five years quite some Debian money was spent to improve our work. Thanks to all of you! If you want to donate to Debian, please see http://www.debian.org/donations - and if you want to help the videoteam, please join #debconf-video and our mailing list. We always needs helping hands for the events we cover (i.e., last weekend, FOSDEM) but we're also looking for contributors being able to code in python and c++. cheers, Holger
