 I have little new to report since last time.  My laptop can recognise and use
two ieee1394 interfaces, but I have not tested them simultaneously; I only had
one firewire cable.

 Trivial annoyance: I can attach two USB drives fine, but adding a third one
locked up my keyboard.

 If we think moving the data from the cameras over the network during grabbing
is too iffy, shuttling USB disks between the grabbing machines and the servers
could be a reasonable fallback.  It might require a few more volunteers, though.
