Hi,
I've now managed to copy the debian conference video files you are
missing to our new under installation Apple X-Serve G5s
local disk (SAN etc. is still under works) and managed to get the rsyncd
working with the latest 2.6.6 versions from http://samba.anu.edu.au/rsync/
You can get all files you wanted with the single command:
rsync -av temporary.test.nic.funet.fi::test/test/debconf .
As the name suggests the IP number is temporary untill we get the load
balancing extreme switch configured and X-SAN cluster working but
it may take some days still.
It's about 60GB in total and locally it came at about 200Mbit/s since
there's no load on the machine yet. Beware though that they are under
installation and may go down without notice. Please email us
(hks,elaine,jmvirtan at least) when you have successfully managed to
transfer everything and how well it went (speed, any problems etc.)
since this the first test of rsync in the new server.
If you need more files, tell us and we'll try to get them copied.
Probably during weekend there's nothing happening
on the machine so that might be the best time. And rsync should be able
to start broken transfers from the middle...
