Re: Content on old wiki.debconf.org
Hi Maytham (2025.07.24_08:39:08_+0000)
As far as I can see, there was a move from wiki.debian.org to
wiki.debconf.org at some point, then the reverse occurred and
wiki.debconf.org was made an archived, static site.
Yes, roughly. The first is before my time in the project. But I assume
there was a time before wiki.debconf.org, yes :)
There's some content that was never transferred to wiki.debconf.org,
resulting in stray pages on the Debian wiki and broken links leading to
404s on the DebConf wiki.
Examples?
Is the preference to edit the old DebConf wiki and insert these missing
pages, or to move the historical content back to the Debian wiki and
take down/redirect away from wiki.debconf.org?
The DebConf wiki has been replaced by a static website. While it's
technically editable, I wouldn't recommend that. Rather let it live as a
static relic, and adjust other things around it.
There's no need to move historical content around, at all.
