Re: OpenDay Language



Hi,

Actually I don't want to make the Open Day too "local" since we have a handful of OSS conferences already (not too much F in FOSS imho). I believe we should differentiate the Open Day from other Taiwanese conferences by introducing more Debian and free software aspects of stuffs, which we can accept people that cannot give talk in Chinese.

OpenDay's target audience is the local country people. We usually do
hold some local-language talks. Please note that some people from the
general geographic region might be interested in attending, and if
they don't speak Chinese, maybe we should offer an alternate activity
(and clearly mark what is expected to be in English and what in
Chinese).

But, all in all - Our target audience are Taiwanese people.
