Gunnar, "infact" needs to be changed. (You are correct). However, stylistically I am not sure the use of "in fact" is optimal here.
I might tweak it to say (forgive me if I have overstepped).:
The two bids had both character and unique identities. On one hand, the Riga proposal was totally centered on city and university life. On the other hand, the Vaumarcus bid aimed to bring DebConf to a setting that is known for its natural beauty.
For line 44, please say that the decision will be made in
"approximately" 12 months, as it does not have to be by the end of
February.
