For just 2.5k you can feed and house these geeks for a week: <photo> erm, perhaps not. ;-) But maybe we should indicate where the money's going to be spent, and say that we'll make a point of announcing who funded it, that might tip the balance in some cases. I think it's more convincing to say: "We've funded all the basic stuff, but it would be really nice if we could also provide the Google Day Trip (or the Intel Night Lab, or whatever)" If it's about funding the B-queue, perhaps we should find individuals that have something that would appeal to the sponsors, and point out that that's where the money will be spent. Of course, if there's something that's already funded, and cost about 2.5k, then selling that as the thing we're going to spend the money on would be fine too -- we spend their money on that, and free up 2.5k to spend elsewhere, on less salable bits & pieces.
