[Debconf-team] dc6 report (again)
Ok, I have been off the ball lately for debconf (work, end of term,
personal life). I feel really bad about leaving you guys in the lurch.
I have made time (today and tomorrow morning) to work on the report,
since its starting to piss me off. As Jon has requested, here is a
general update to the list about the dc6 report, which was discussed on
irc today.
First off, the todo list as wiki page: http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/Debconf6Report
Secondly, the current (r26) version as pdf:
http://www.lupin.org.uk/debconf/dc6-report.pdf . This is clearly not
the finshed copy. If you want the source, you can check it out of
subversion at https://svn.debconf.org/svn/reports .
Armed with some WAGs, I think that if we do the stuff on the required
list, then it should be fine. That being said, if you know something
that isn't being covered, or would like to write a bit currently on
the "would be nice" list, please please please do so. Don't worry
about layout.
Progress report:
Done:
Layout (thanks Ganneff)
Bits from the DPL (thanks aj)
Personal impressions (a big thanks to all who sent stuff in)
AMESOL (thanks Rodrigo)
Sessions (Thanks Tolimar)
Numbers (thanks gwolf)
Network (thanks Ganneff)
Work in progress:
Infrastructure (half a page so far, thanks gwolf)
Video - Holger has stuff written, needs to finsh and commit (thanks)
Sponsors - Moray has done some work on the logos page, thanks
Proofreading - clearly this should be last, but Moray has done some
and Myself and Steve have offered to do more.
Needs doing
Introduction - the dc5 report started with stockhom's team leader
report, he has offered to do one for dc6, so I think it should wrk the
same way.
Money - There are a pile of notes on the wiki about this section,
needs someone who has seen the numbers. Steve and I are still
thrashing out the notes. Ganneff is looking at it now.
Place - a bit about the location. I'll try and draw up some notes for
this section, if you were on the dc6 team, you could write this bit.
Conclusion - general summing up. really needs someone on the dc6 team
to do.
How you can help
If you were part of the dc6 team, you could write Place or Conclusion.
Otherwise you could proofread, work on things from the "would be nice"
list, or help out people working on other sections. All help is really
appreciated.
ETA
Like the release, its heading into "when its ready", but I'll give
another update at the meeting.
Sorry this has dragged on for so long, (both the email and the
report), Thanks for reading,
Pete
