Hi Alex! Alex Lieflander dijo [Sun, Jul 27, 2025 at 07:27:05PM -0400]:
Hi everyone, In 46 hours I will generate an updated PGP key map of everyone who participated in the Key Signing Party this year. To make sure your new signatures are shown, please upload them to keyserver.ubuntu.com within 44 hours! I will also check the other keyservers that Gunnar mentioned, but that one is the easiest. If you are not in the 2025 KSP list but want to be shown, or if you are in the list but do not want to be shown, please (privately) send me a PGP-signed email within 44 hours! Unsigned requests will be ignored.
That's a nice suggestion and effort, but we are *too* close after DebConf. Many people are still travelling. And usually, people don't rush to do the key signing until they are settled back home. And I have data to prove it 😃 In 2018 I published together with a student of mine an article titled «Insights on the large-scale deployment of a curated Web-of-Trust: the Debian project’s cryptographic keyring»: https://jisajournal.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s13174-018-0082-7 You can see in Figure 2 (page 5 of the PDF, about ⅓ down if reading the HTML version) the amount of signatures stabilizes around four weeks after the conference. So, I suggest you to wait a bit more for this experiment. Or in any case, to produce several graphs illustrating the changes as time advances 🙂 Greetings,
